  1. Cover sauerkraut with water. Add oatmeal and ½ of the onion. Cook 10 minutes.
  2. Add peas and mushrooms.
  3. Fry remainder of onions in 2 to 4 oz butter. Add to sauerkraut, and simmer for 10 minutes.
