Comment: This is a great recipe – it's a way to eat a salad with a creamy, heavy dressing, without feeling guilty about fat and calories. It is quite oniony as written. We cut the amount of onion in half, and it still overpowered the dressing – especially after it was allowed to sit for a few hours. I recommend using only a tablespoon or two of onion, or perhaps using scallion or shallot instead. Also, doubling the amount of tomato sauce makes it less “blond”, and (in my opinion) more like thousand island.
