Grilled Asparagus With Basil Yogurt Sauce

The sweetness of the yogurt goes well with the char on the asparagus.

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch Asparagus spears, woody parts snapped off
  • 1 TBSP Vegetable Oil
  • Vanilla Yogurt
    • If using Greek yogurt, mix 1/2 vanilla, 1/2 plain yogurt and add a bit of water?
  • Fresh Basil

Directions

Sauce

  1. Mince basil leaves, stir into yogurt gently.
  2. Let rest in refrigerator 30+ minutes.

Asparagus

  1. Toss asparagus spears with oil.
  2. Sprinkle on salt.
  3. Grill until just cooked with grill marks.
  4. Plate, add sauce, serve immediately.

Notes

  • I like to fan out the asparagus on a salad plate and then put a couple of thin concentric arcs of sauce on top.
