Grilled Asparagus With Basil Yogurt Sauce
The sweetness of the yogurt goes well with the char on the asparagus.

Ingredients
- 1 bunch Asparagus spears, woody parts snapped off
- 1 TBSP Vegetable Oil
- Vanilla Yogurt
- If using Greek yogurt, mix 1/2 vanilla, 1/2 plain yogurt and add a bit of water?
- Fresh Basil
Directions
Sauce
- Mince basil leaves, stir into yogurt gently.
- Let rest in refrigerator 30+ minutes.
Asparagus
- Toss asparagus spears with oil.
- Sprinkle on salt.
- Grill until just cooked with grill marks.
- Plate, add sauce, serve immediately.
Notes
- I like to fan out the asparagus on a salad plate and then put a couple of thin concentric arcs of sauce on top.
