Penn Ave Pumpkin Bread

No nuts!

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Sugar
  • 1 cup Butter or Margarine
    • Cream together
  • 4 Eggs
  • 1.5 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Nutmeg
  • 2/3 cup Water
  • 2 cups Cooked Pumpkin
    • Add in order and mix well
  • 3.5 cups Flour
  • 2 tsp Baking Soda
    • Mix together, add, minimal stirring
  • Nuts (if desired) (not!)
  • Pour into 2 large greased loaf pans
  • Bake 1 hour @ 350
