Ingredients

  • 1 cup leeks, chopped
  • 1/2 lb. ground pork
  • 1/4 tsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. grated ginger
  • 1 Tbsp. Low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tsp. sesame oil
  • 1 Tbsp. garlic, minced
  • 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 package of potsticker/ goyza wraps

Directions

  1. Prep your leeks by washing and chopping into small pieces.
  2. Prepare a medium sized bowl and add in the ground pork and other seasoning ingredients.
  3. Using you bare hands or a spatula, mix the ingredients and the chopped leeks well.
  4. Prepare a small dish of water and your potsticker wrappers (note: I prefer the thinner wrappers, if available because I think it's more delicate tasting).
  5. Place 1 Tbsp. of the pork filling in the center of wrapper. Then fold over and pleat 5-6 times.
  6. Wrap until all of the filling is used up. Freeze the potstickers that you don't want to cook right away.
  7. In a non-stick pan over medium heat, add 1 Tbsp. of oil, then gently add your potstickers. If you don't want them to stick together, make sure they aren't touching during this step. Add in 2/3 cup of water, then cover with a steaming lid.
  8. Steam for 6 minutes or until almost all the water has evaporated, then continue cooking uncovered for another 2-3 minutes or until the bottoms of the potstickers are golden brown.
