Strawberry Glace Pie
This is my favorite strawberry pie, courtesy of Mom and my godmother, Janet Preus.

Ingredients
- Bake and cool 9“ pie shell
- 1 10oz pkg Frozen Strawberries
- 5-6 Fresh Strawberries
- 1/4 cup Water
- Simmer for 3-4 minutes
- 3 1/2 Tbsp Cornstarch, sifted
- 1 cup Sugar
- Add to simmered fruit
- Cook until syrup is thick clear, stirring constantly
- 1 tsp Lemon Juice
- Add, cool slightly
- 3 cups (or 3 pints) Fresh Strawberries
- Whipping Cream, sweetened
Directions
- Line baked pastry shell with fresh strawberries
- Pour simmered fruit over pie
- Chill thoroughly, uncovered
- Decorate with sweetened whipped cream
- Serve immediately
Notes
For 1 Qt strawberries:
- 2 cups Fresh Strawberries
- 3/4 cup Sugar
- 3 Tbsp Cornstarch
- 1/4 cup Water
- Cook until thick and clear
