 When I was a teenager, my mother made the mistake of telling me that I could make these anytime I wanted.  So I made them anytime there were chocolate chips around the house.  Mom wanted to have some chocolate chips on hand in case she needed them, so she started to hide a few at a time.  I would then go look for them and hide them myself.  I'd then have chocolate cookies whenever I wanted them.
