Jewish Coffee Cake

Ingredients

Cake

  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. margarine
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • 3 c. flour
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda

Filling

  • ½ c. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 c. chopped nuts

Directions

  1. Cream first 4 ingredients until creamy.
  2. Sift together salt, flour, baking powder and baking soda 3 times and add alternately with the sour cream.
  3. Combine filling ingredients and swirl through batter before putting in oven.
  4. Bake in tube pan at 350 for about 1 hour.
