Sausage Bread

Dough
- 2 cups flour
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 yeast package
- 1/1/2 cup warm water
- additional 1 ½ cups flour
- Dissolve yeast in warm water. Mix together and knead all the ingredients adding up to 1 ½ cups additional flour to form soft, smooth dough. Knead until mixture is smooth and supple. Let mixture rise in a greased covered bowl for about 1 hour.
Filling
- 1 lb sausage meat
- 2 green peppers
- 1 red pepper
- 1 sliced onion
- 1 package mozzarella cheese
- Fry sausage, drain, then fry peppers and onions, drain and add to fried sausage. Sprinkle ½ package mozzarella cheese on bottom crust. Spread sausage mixture and top with rest of mozzarella cheese. Put on the top crust.
Topping
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon water
- 2 tablespoons parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon oregano
- 2 tablespoons parlsey
- 1 tablespoon garlic
- Whisk together and spread on top crust. Cut slits in center and bake in preheated 400 degree oven for about 35 minutes.
