Lemon Whipped Cream

Why This Recipe Works

We put a twist on the usual sweetened whipped cream by adding some lemon juice and zest. The tart, lightly sweet citrus flavor and creamy texture is an ideal complement to fruity desserts.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons fine granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

Directions

  1. Pour the whipped cream to the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the whisk attachment. Whip the cream until foamy on medium-low speed. Add the sugar, lemon zest and lemon juice and whip on medium-high until soft peaks form. Serve with the strawberry mousse.
